I really enjoyed this one when I first read it. I don’t know how many revisions Matt went through before showing me, but it was perfect. I didn’t change anything to the script, hopefully it captured exactly what he was imagining, cause this image is what made me laugh a lot before actually drawing it.
As you can see from the sketches I had various ways of putting this thing in a certain order. At first I didn’t know I had that whole second bowl of rearranged letters and I wasn’t accounting for that additional panel. The original script had 3 panels, but I couldn’t include upside down letters to show the soup the first go around…
I never played with the Ouija board an I heard stories of how much the devil and demons had more of an influence on it than actual spirits, but it never snagged my interest. Suffice it to say, what would I actually ask these spirits that the magic 8 ball couldn’t confirm for me? THANKS MAGIC 8 BALL, you saved me from drinking milk everyday, now my bones are weak and I’m now lactose intolerant… thanks…
