Outside of friends and family of cast, crew and anyone involved in the creation of a movie it is very difficult to get to see a premiere. You’ve literally gotta win a contest or paid a lot of money or sweet talked your way into seats (blackmail falls into the sweet talk category). I never dream of going to a movie premiere mainly because I could careless about the lights and glamor of Hollywood. The only reason I would even get excited about seeing a celebrity (movie) is so I can take a picture or say “hey I flashed a camera in so and so’s face after I tapped them on the shoulder.” I don’t get the same feeling many people get when these see a celebrity with the whole dancing and stuttering/stammering and shock and awe in the presence of them. I usually just pee my pants and cry like a baby when I see these celebrities, then they really notice you like a retarded kid or something and thats where the real money shot comes in. After you’ve gotten their attention you just play it up and keep acting retarded (in my case it is is basically being retarded – sorry if the word “retarded” means something really bad, but it really just means the mind is not developed appropriately to the person’s age) sometimes you can milk some free hug or pat on the head and then there will be plenty of photos of you being touched by the celebrity and can then sell your hair or whatever article of clothing was touched. I hear ebay is really good for that, selling hair and celebrity touched items. Then when the jig is up, you can even jump out of character and either get yelled at by a celebrity or even spit on. You can probably even save some of that saliva for a clone of them in the future, CHA-CHING!
Seriously folks, I’m retarded. I’m a pretty good “drawer” for being mentally challenged. Don’t pity me, just give cash. kthxbai!
On to the real Monday stuff…
I’ve included my preliminary sketches, For this one in particular, I have a lot more sketches because I have to try to get a celebrity variation that I like. I could just trace a photo of a celebrity if I wanted to, but then they wouldn’t have the same feel as if I “drew” it. The other problem with doing celebrities is that their face is so recognizable and when you do a “poor” job then they look like someone else or not the right person.
