Drawing icons can be as much of an exercise as drawing a comic. So much effort went into each design and choosing the right kind of icon to represent the phrases. Even though this one post exhausted me as much as drawing two comics, it felt just as rewarding.
I can relate to half if not most of the phrases in this little table considering I used to game often. Often might be an understatement… addicted is probably a more exact phrase. I’m off games as long as I can keep my hands and mind busy with art…
Crying sullenly in the corner or some other phrases with weeping were left out as not to embarrass anyone. You can cry when you suck, just not in public, right?
What did I actually learn in making these icons? It takes so much time to design icons… it probably wasn’t a great idea to Facebook stalking early in the evening when I should have been sketching that probably would have allowed me to go to sleep maybe an hour or two earlier…. who needs sleep? the guy who has to go to the day job.
I hope you guys enjoy these works as much as I enjoyed making them.
